Choice of the 5-point Likert Scale

Recommendation of the 5-point likert-scale:

A Likert scale is used to rate each item on a response scale. For instance, participants are asked to answer each question by rating each item on a 1-to-3, 1-to4, 1-to-5, 1-to-6, or 1-to-7 response scale. In general, a 5-point Likert scale is an appropriate choice and would include the items: “strongly agree,” “agree,” “neutral,” “disagree,” and “strongly disagree.”
